  5. The perfect souvenir is sure to be found at Khal El-Khalili. The souq is filled with wonderful shops selling brass plates, lamps, and fabrics and much more. 

  6. Ibn Tulun Mosque is the second oldest in Cairo and is modelled on the Kaaba in Mecca.

  7. Try some of these Egyptian foods: kushari, fteer, and ta-meya.

  8. Enjoy a cruise on the Nile river.

  9. Visit the Egyptian Museum, which contains the world's largest collection of Egyptian artifacts.

  10. Spend the day walking Al-Muizz, this is one of the oldest streets in Cairo stretching roughly 1km. It's noisy, a bit chaotic and a treat to the senses.
